Bids Invited for Arbroath Dredging

Business & Finance

The Angus Council has invited bidders to submit their offers for the Arbroath Harbor Maintenance Dredging 2016.

This cleanup scheme will involve removal of 12,000m³ of material from the inner and outer harbor and navigation channel.

The dredged material from each activity is to be deposited at sea approximately 1¾ nautical miles from the outer sea wall of the harbor.

The deadline for this tender is November 23, 2015.

In the past, the dredging work at Arbroath and the navigation channel has been carried out by the Shearwater, a dredger owned by Moray Council, at a cost of £40,000 per year.
