VIDEO: Dredging for Eko Atlantic City

Off the coast of Lagos, mighty dredgers are working daily to reclaim land lost to the sea.

Eko Atlantic City is being constructed in six phases – and the first phase entails creating 10 square kilometers of prime land along the Great Wall of Lagos.

When the dredging is completed, a total volume of sand amounting to no less than 100 million cubic meters will have been used, creating a land mass visible from space.
