St. Petersburg to Host Ports Development Conferences

The 4th International Conference on Ports and Shipping Development and 12th International Transport Exhibition TRANSTEC 2014 will take place in St. Petersburg, Russia, during 1-3 October, 2014.

The events will be held under the auspices of the Maritime Collegium under the Government of the Russian Federation with support of the Mintrans of Russia, Maritime Council under the Government of St. Petersburg, and also other Russian and foreign organizations in the field of maritime transport.

The conference and the exhibition are held in order to exchange information and experience in the port industry, as well as to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between government agencies, seaports, investors, producers of the port equipment and fleet for the development of port infrastructure and transportation on the water types of transport.

In addition, the events are intended to strengthen cooperation, including international, between the seaports and shipping companies, and also to ensure traffic in the Arctic and the Northern Sea Route, promoting passenger, cruise and ferry shipping and the introduction of advanced equipment and technology in ports.
