Shoalhaven City Gets Funds for Dredging Projects

Shoalhaven City Council has received $700,000 from NSW government’s ‘Rescuing our Waterways’ program that will be used for funding three dredging projects.

Joanna Gash, the city’s major, has welcomed the injection of over $700,000 funding into the area’s local waterways,.

Member for South Coast, Shelley Hancock this morning announced that Council was successful in applying for funding under the NSW State program.

Under the program, Council has been allocated:

  • Lake Conjola – $271,832
  • Currambene Creek – $203,727
  • Sussex Inlet – $232,473

The Mayor said Council was extremely pleased to receive the allocation saying that Lake Conjola, Currambene Creek and Sussex Inlet had been identified as priority areas for funding.
