The Chesapeake Bay $20 million dredging scheme is currently underway.

The work is being undertaken by Dutra’s hopper dredge Stuyvesant, with all dredged material transported and placed at the designated Government-furnished placement area at Dam Neck Ocean Disposal Site.

Work in Thimble Shoal includes dredging of approximately 1.25 million cubic yards of material to a required depth of 51 feet MLLW, and work in Cape Henry Channel involves dredging of about 1.6 million cubic yards of material to a required depth of 51 feet MLLW.
