New EC250E Crawler Excavator from Volvo CE

A recent press event at Volvo Construction Equipment’s Konz facility has not only unveiled the company’s latest EC250E crawler excavator, but also gone behind the scenes at one of Germany’s ‘top national employers’.

Journalists gathered in early April for a ‘Made in Germany’ event at Volvo Construction Equipment’s (Volvo CE) facility in Konz. The highlight of the event was the national launch of the EC250E crawler excavator, a machine that is not only new to the market but from June this year will also roll off the assembly line at the Konz factory.

This event offered the opportunity to show the development of the Konz site and to emphasize our Made in Germany message,” said Christian Krauskopf, managing director of Volvo CE Germany.

“Once a bucket is attached to the excavator, the center line is automatically secured and bulky loads will not upset the machine’s balance,” said Yongun Lee, vice president of Volvo CE Korea. “The extended boom, that we were able to fit straight from the factory, allows operators to keep a safe distance away from the blast furnace.”
