Boskalis: 16 mln cbm Will Be Dredged at Bronka Port in 2014-15
The volume of dredging operations during the Marine Multipurpose Complex Bronka (MMPK Bronka) development project will be around 16 mln cbm in 2014-15.
This was announced by the Country Manager for Royal Boskalis Westminster in the Russian Federation Mr. Mark Bakker at the Forum of Dredging Companies organized by media-group IAA PortNews.
Bakker said that the volume of dredging operations performed in 2006-08 at the shipping channel to the south from Kronshtadt was 8 mln cbm, and at the approach channel towards the outer port Bronka performed in 2007-11 was 16 mln cbm. In 2007-11, hydraulic reclamation at the dam was 5.2 mln cbm of sand, and in 2013 this number was 16 mln cbm of sand at the outer port Bronka.
