Jan De Nul Group Tests EnerBurn Diesel Fuel Catalyst

EnerGreen Technologies Ltd., a European distributor for EnerTeck and EnerTeck Chemical, today announced that the Jan de Nul Group, a Luxembourg-based operator of one of the world’s largest marine engineering and dredging fleets, has launched an evaluation of the company’s flagship product, EnerBurn®, a diesel fuel catalytic combustion accelerator and its complementary injection technology.

Jan de Nul will administer the test on its suction-dredging vessel Taccola, currently deployed on a large engineering project in Bremerhaven, Germany. The three-month evaluation is designed to measure fuel consumption savings and emissions reduction performance in accordance with new MARPOL international environmental standards scheduled to go into effect next year.

“Jan de Nul is an industry leader that operates a fleet of more than 70 large dredging vessels that burn large amounts of marine diesel,” said Sean Routledge, CEO of EnerGreen Technologies Pty Ltd., an Australian-based distributor of EnerBurn with operations in Europe and South America. “With this test, we’re expecting to achieve a 5- to 10-percent reduction in fuel consumption resulting in dramatic cost savings and emission reductions for Jan de Nul, which in turn will open up demand for the EnerBurn technology in markets around the world. The EnerGreen Technologies Europe team, led by Mr. Luc Hennion, has been working closely over the last six months with Jan de Nul to fit out the Taccola to be able to carry out a quality evaluation, and the initial treatment with EnerBurn was started early this month.”

“With the continual increase in fuel costs and more rigorous environmental requirements, the world’s largest diesel users must find ways to reduce their fuel consumption and emissions,” said Dwaine Reese, EnerTeck CEO. “A successful evaluation of the EnerBurn technology by Jan de Nul will be an important milestone for EnerTeck as well as for our prospective and current customers who are evaluating our technology for use in other industries such as rail, trucking, mining, military, public transportation and government.”
