USA: Fountain Lake Dredging Plans Move Forward

Fountain Lake Dredging Plans Move Forward.

The Shell Rock River Watershed District has introduced a plan to commence negotiations for professional engineering and design services for the Fountain Lake dredging project, reports albertleatribune.com.

A resolution to begin this significant dredging project was approved Tuesday by the district’s board.

Regarding this issue, Watershed District Administrator Brett Behnke stated: “This resolution is a technical step in moving forward with this important project. We will continue to look to the community and our partners for input and support.”

According to albertleatribune.com, this action came after the district recently purchased a 2010 IMS 7012 HP Versi 51-foot hydraulic dredge.

This dredger, which can dig 30-feet deep, had about 2,000 previous hours logged from a Canadian company that dredged near Kellogg.
