YILDIRIM GROUP continued its expansion in shipping and port operations with the acquisition of RotaPort.

YILPORT HOLDING, a subsidiary of YILDIRIM GROUP, acquired 100% shares in RotaPort, which has been operating in Korfez, Kocaeli since 1995 with the largest warehousing capacity in the region thanks to its general warehouses and grain and cement terminals.

YILDIRIM Group plans to invest a total amount of 200 million USD in restructuring and addition of new equipment to transform RotaPort into an industry and regional leader in liquid cargo and general warehousing.

Located at a distance of 80 kms from Istanbul and 320 kms to Ankara, RotaPort boasts a discharge capacity of 15,000 tons/ day and has links to two railway loading/ discharge stations.

With a sea depth of 23 metres, it can handle panamax and larger sized vessels with six berths with a total length of 880 metres. RotaPort has been operating in the region as an ISPS approved port.
