Donjon Marine has won a $53.1 million firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging of the Newark Bay Federal Navigation Channel.
Under the contract W912DS-26-C-A029, Donjon will dredge designated areas of Newark Bay, including the Main, Port Newark, and Port Newark Pierhead channels.
According to the Army Corps, this work will help maintain critical navigation routes at their required depths and widths.
"The cumulative contract value is $69,225,650, with $53,165,800 being initially obligated through the government’s fiscal 2026 civil operations and maintenance funds. The USACE award letter accepted an additional $16,059,850 for contract options," Donjon said.
The project is estimated to be completed in February 2027.
