In just one year, Boskalis' 5,600 m³ trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Crestway completed two full-scale maintenance dredging campaigns in the Port of Tuxpan, Mexico.
"During the same period, we also worked in the ports of Tampico and Veracruz, bringing the total number of Mexican ports where our Crestway has made its mark to three," the company said.
"Through these maintenance campaigns, Boskalis is making a significant contribution to the accessibility of ports and the flow of container trade along Mexico’s eastern coast."
At the same time, they have also deployed a second trailing suction hopper dredger to Mexico. The 12,000 m³ Gateway has recently been working on a capital dredging project on the west coast, following an emergency dredging campaign in Chiapas to help keep that port accessible to cargo vessels.
