Montrose Port Authority in Scotland has launched a $46.4 million tender for the construction of a new quay covering berths 9, 10 and 11.
The design-and-build contract involves:
- quay structure,
- new hardstanding areas,
- utilities and,
- associated dredging work.
This project forms the first stage of Montrose Port’s wider masterplan, which is intended to double the port’s capacity and ultimately provide around 1,200 meters of deepwater quays, additional berths, 19 new spaces for offshore wind vessels and six hectares of laydown area.
Bids for the berth project are due by October 16. According to the Authority, the contract will run from August 2027 to August 2029.
