With dredging work now underway, the expansion of Port Klang West has entered its construction phase.

Under this project, approximately 550ha of new land is to be developed by CCCC. This will require significant capital dredging and reclamation works.

Located in the Port Klang Free Zone, the project will expand Westports container terminal with another eight additional berthing areas.

Once completed, the port’s annual throughput capacity will reach 28 million TEUs, boosting Malaysia’s position and influence in international shipping.
