According to CODEBA, this dredging project aims to maintain the port’s full navigability and increase its capacity to handle larger ships from 30 to 45 thousand tons. This will reduce operating costs and ensure the safety of vessels that use the docking infrastructure of the port.

With this initiative, CODEBA reaffirms its commitment to the socioeconomic development of the region, boosting the industrial and agricultural sectors, which depend directly on the port’s logistical efficiency.

The project also fosters new business opportunities and generates direct and indirect jobs, strengthening the local economy.

The dredging work, estimated to be worth around R$ 20 million, underwent rigorous procedures to guarantee navigation safety, operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.
