According to the Santa Rosa County (FL), the hopper dredge Glenn Edwards made significant progress despite last week’s snowstorm. The contractor will likely complete filling the final segment today, Thursday, January 30. To date, 25 turtles have been relocated outside of the project area.

To restore Navarre Beach to its original 2006 profile, Manson Construction used around 600,000 cubic yards of dredged sand.

Once sand placement is complete, crews will then break down pipe and remove the subline from the beach.

Tilling and dune planting will also begin, which is expected to take around two weeks. All work is weather and mechanical-issue dependent and dates may not be exact.
