According to Vafeades, the dredging operations are essential for the marina’s safe operation and vessel navigation, as well as general safety upgrades in surrounding areas.

This action fulfils our commitments to the Larnaca community that we would proceed with these works as soon as possible”, Vafeades said.

He also added that studies for the dredging have been completed and the tender process will begin immediately.

The project is expected to take six months to complete following a public tender to be launched by the Department of Public Works.
