Dredging underway at Port of Caen

Dredging operations at Saint-Pierre Dock, situated at the heart of Caen city center, are currently underway, Ports of Normandy said.

Dredging operations in the dock and its access canal are scheduled for the winter of 2024–25 with the extraction of approximately 30,000 m³ of sediment.  

The dredged material will be decontaminated and set to be used it for landscaping works. 

According to the Port, this work is expected to continue until the end of February.
