WEDA 2025 Midwest Chapter Meeting set for March

The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) has just announced that the 2025 Midwest Chapter Meeting will take place at the Westin Milwaukee from March 11–13, 2025.

The meeting will provide a forum for exchanging information of interest to the dredging industry and its associates.

Representatives from all areas of the industry, including regulatory, resource agencies, contracting, and manufacturing, will attend to discuss dredging economics, benefits, technologies, and current issues.

WEDA also announced that they are looking for presenters for this year’s meeting, particularly on the following topics: Workforce Recruiting, Beneficial Use of Dredge Material, PFAS, Great Lakes AOC projects, Status of Navigation in Inland Waterways, and Coastal Resiliency.

Tentative Agenda

  • Tuesday, March 11 – USACE ERDC/WEDA Innovations Towards Achieving More Sustainable Management of Dredged Material short course: 12PM – 5PM
    Exhibit set up: 12PM – 5PM
    Icebreaker reception: 6PM – 9PM
  • Wednesday, March 12 – Breakfast: 7AM – 8AM
    Meeting and presentations: 8AM – 12PM
    Off-site technical tour with group transportation to/from The Westin provided: 1PM – 4PM, Location TBA
    Women of WEDA-hosted social event: 5PM – 7PM, all attendees welcome; location TBA
  • Thursday, March 13 – Breakfast: 7AM – 8AM
    Meeting and presentations: 8AM – 12PM
    Exhibit take down: 10:30AM – 12PM
    Conference concludes: 12PM
    USACE workshop: 12PM – 5PM, additional details TBA
