Dredging underway at Osborne Naval Shipyard

Flinders Port has announced the start of dredging operations at Port Adelaide’s Inner Harbor.

According to the Notice to Mariners No. 78 of 2024, dredging will take place in and around Osborne Naval Shipyard facility.

The first phase of dredge works, which kicked off in late November, is expected to be completed for Christmas shut down by 1900, December 22, 2024.

The second phase of dredging will re-commence from January 6, 2025 and completed at a date yet to be confirmed.

The dredging works are part of the overall expansion and modernization of the ONS into a world-class, fully integrated shipbuilding hub for existing and future naval shipbuilding programs.
