This marks a significant milestone for the island, reflecting our commitment to enhancing our maritime infrastructure, supporting economic growth and improving passenger experience,” said Matt Thomas, CEO of Ports of Jersey. “Now that we have the go-ahead for our plans, we look forward to progressing the project and starting the first stages of the development.”

Ports of Jersey’s St Helier Harbour Master Plan is a long-term development plan that supports the transformation of Elizabeth Harbour, La Collette and Victoria Pier, the Old Harbours and La Folie, Albert Pier, and New North Quay.

The Harbour Master Plan will start with the most immediate need – the redevelopment of Elizabeth Harbour.

This includes demolition of the old and construction of new passenger terminal, dredging of the new berth pocket and basin, new land creation through the combination of a suspended deck and reclamation, LoLo berth with associated services and furniture, concrete block return wall and revetment.

According to Matt Thomas, the redevelopment of Elizabeth Harbour will take 3 – 4 years to complete.
