The PD Ports dredger Heortnesse departed from UK Docks Marine Services Teesside facility this weekend after successfully completed repairs and improvements.

Her place in the dry dock was almost immediately taken by the Tarmac-owned City of Chichester which smoothly entered dry dock yesterday.

“ The arrival of the City of Chichester today means our Teesside team is currently working on two Tarmac vessels in the yard, with the City of London dry dock works nearing completion ,” UK Docks Marine Services said.

Tarmac fleet of four vessels (the City of London, the City of Westminster, the City of Chichester and the City of Cardiff) is purpose built for aggregate dredging and as part of a network of wharves and processing plants Tarmac Marine supplies high quality natural sand and gravel aggregates into major UK construction projects.
