EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: TSHD Ursa christening ceremony
The trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Ursa, built by the Finnish shipyard Tyovene Oy, was christened on Friday, August 9th.
After successful sea-trails in Poland, the dredger was handed over to the Maritime Office in Gdynia.
The TSHD’s primary task will be to service the new, over 20 km waterway, connecting the Vistula Lagoon with the Bay of Gdańsk.
The newbuild has a capacity of 950 m3, length of 62.75 meters and two propellers.
Also, the TSHD contains one suction drag arm with a maximum dredging depth of 18 meters.
