According to the Corps, the contractor is making excellent progress as it constructs dune and berm along the shore, advancing north toward the Flagler Beach Pier from the vicinity of So. 13th St., despite recent and expected additional weather impacts to the schedule.

In the next week to 10 days, the contractor will need to relocate equipment north of Flagler Beach Pier to continue beach fill to No. 7th Street.

USACE awarded a $27 million contract May 2, 2024, to Weeks Marine, Inc., of Cranford, New Jersey, for initial construction of the Flagler County, Florida, CSRM project.

The construction is projected to take approximately nine months, the work commenced in June 2024 with the completion set for March 2025, pending unforeseeable weather delays.

Once complete, the project will provide a holistic, environmentally friendly defense against future storms, beach erosion and sea level rise.
