Almost every year, fishermen from Cape St. Louis in New Brunswick face enormous difficulties in accessing the sea.

Dredging is crucial for preserving navigable waterways and safe access in these areas, with the main goal to remove accumulated sand shoaling due to the ongoing movement and repositioning material at the mouth.

New Amphibex is set to carry out the dredging of the navigation channel located 6 km offshore to achieve the desired water depth and to facilitate the crossing of fishing boats.

The model AE450E new generation is equipped with a 375 HP (280 Kw) Caterpillar engine Tier IV final with low greenhouse gas emission with superior pumping capacity and powerful hydraulic system to perform even more demanding tasks in restrained and difficult areas and bodies of water, Normrock Industries said.
