Work continues at the Oswego breakwater as crews prepare 29,315 tons of armor stone to install on the breakwater.

According to USACE, these massive stones are used to build coastal structures and resists the forces caused by wave induced flows over and through the structure.

The breakwater prevents to build up of sediment within the harbor, ensuring the harbor can be safely navigated.
