Warkworth Harbour Commissioners have announced the start of dredging operations in the Amble Harbour.
According to the Notice, during the next three weeks, dredger Wyre Sands will be working from the Amble Harbour mouth to the entrance to the Amble Marina.
She will be working mostly on the Northside of the harbour thus leaving the southside of the channel free for incoming and outgoing vessels.
The local authorities also announced that the dredger has been working in the harbour since July 30 and is contracted by Warkworth Harbour Commissioners for 21 days.
