GCWA starts new dredging campaign

Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) has commenced a new dredging campaign in the North Channel and South Channel adjacent to the Gold Coast Seaway.

The project will involve the removal of shoals through the North and South Channels, improving navigational access to Gold Coast waterways for recreational and commercial vessels.

Dredged material will be deposited offshore to assist coastal protection and beneficially reused to nourish Broadwater beaches.
