Dredging

The trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Deo Gloria is currently very busy working at the entrance of the Manchester Ship Canal on the River Mersey.

The dredger was built in 1978 and has a gross tonnage of 1512, with a deadweight of 2100 tons.

She measures 70.36 metres long with a beam of 14.33 metres and sails under the flag of the Netherlands.

Manchester Ship Canal links Manchester with the coast and provides access to the city for large ocean-going vessels. It is not considered a leisure waterway.
