USACE’s dredge Wheeler ready for the Holidays

The USACE’s hopper dredge Wheeler and crew are finally home for the Holidays.

The dredge keeps waterway channels clear from Key West, Florida, to Brownsville, Texas.

According to USACE, this dredge is maintained in a state of readiness for worldwide operations.

USACE added that the Wheeler spends the majority of its time operating in the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River, dealing with shoaling problems that occur during high and low water.
