Nipper Park Marina and boat ramp in Hannibal, MO, will close each day next week, October 9th – 13th, due to a dredging program.

Hannibal Parks and Recreation (HPR) said that the boaters will be able to access the marina each evening after crews finish for the day.

Project completion will depend on weather and complications.

Last year, HPR purchased a dredge that will be used to vacuum up unwanted sediment and debris, which will then be pumped to a pit south of the marina.

The sediment will become fill soil that can be recycled throughout the park system.
