Dredger SOSPAN DAU ‘rainbowing’ near the Pyramids (VIDEO)

The trailer suction hopper dredger SOSPAN DAU recently arrived at the Southsea near the Pyramids to recharge the nearby beach.

For the last couple of weeks, the dredger has been ‘rainbowing’ shingle near the Pyramids, adding shingle to the beach (re-charging) east of the groyne during high tides.

This is important as the beach is the primary sea defence and needs replenishing.
