Donjon Marine Co Inc. of Hillside, New Jersey, will once again perform maintenance dredging activities in Newark Bay.

Similar to last year, the company has won a $45.7 million USACE contract for the Newark Bay maintenance dredging works.

According to the Corps, this year’s campaign includes removal of over 300,000 cubic yards of dredge material (consisting of primarily silt and clay) from the Federal Navigation Channels.

In 2022, working under the $43.4M contract, Donjon Marine dredged almost 400,000 cubic yards from the Newark Bay channels.

The Newark Bay maintenance dredging is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2023.
