EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: The largest TSHD in USA is officially on the water

The Manson’s hopper dredge Frederick Paup is officially on the water.

The hopper was transferred from the erection site at the AmFELS (a member of the Seatrium Group) shipyard to the floating drydock Solomon P. Ortiz in Brownsville, TX.

Once complete, the Frederick Paup (128m in length, 25m breadth and about 9m draught, hopper volume of 11,500m³) will be the largest self-propelled hopper dredge in the U.S.A.

The vessel represents Manson’s single biggest investment in its 117-year history.
