Matthews Brothers Dredging wins $17.7M Houston dredge contract

Matthews Brothers Dredging LLC, from Pass Christian, Mississippi, has won a $17.7 million firm-fixed-price contract for a maintenance dredging project in Texas.

Bids were solicited via the internet with four received, reports the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

Work will be performed in Houston, Texas, with an estimated completion date of April 15, 2024.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, is the contracting activity.

Founded in 1999 by brothers Shaw and Tom Matthews, Matthews Brothers began with a vision to operate a marine construction company with a personal yet professional touch.

“Influenced by our family’s maritime experience, we decided to combine our own marine skills and open a marine construction company,” said Matthews Brothers.
