Earlier this week, Royal IHC was part of the Water and Maritime trade mission to India – led by the Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Mark Harbers.

An important topic during this trade mission was sustainability in the maritime industry.

“ Jaco Kleijwegt , part of the delegation on behalf of Royal IHC, explained to port authorities, shipyards and dredging contractors in India our vision on the road towards zero-emission vessels,” said the Dutch giant.

In addition, Jaco provided insight into the available technical solutions to take the next step towards alternative fuels.

Having a zero-emission vessel design does not represent the whole picture. The journey towards zero emissions requires a total solution and an end-to-end supply chain.
