Royal IHC in India: Spotlight on sustainability in dredging

Earlier this week, Royal IHC was part of the Water and Maritime trade mission to India – led by the Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Mark Harbers.

An important topic during this trade mission was sustainability in the maritime industry.

“Jaco Kleijwegt, part of the delegation on behalf of Royal IHC, explained to port authorities, shipyards and dredging contractors in India our vision on the road towards zero-emission vessels,” said the Dutch giant.

In addition, Jaco provided insight into the available technical solutions to take the next step towards alternative fuels.

Having a zero-emission vessel design does not represent the whole picture. The journey towards zero emissions requires a total solution and an end-to-end supply chain.
