Havant Borough Council will be carrying out an annual South Hayling beach recycling campaign during March 2023.
According to the Coastal Partners, the works will help reinstate the beach profile following the winter period and will help to reduce the risk of coastal flooding and erosion to the properties at Eastoke.
Beach recycling is the movement of material from areas of beach build up to areas of erosion. This helps to restore beach levels and increase the standard of protection.
The work, to be undertaken by Ovenden Earthmoving Co Ltd, will be carried out between the Fun Fair in the west and Eastoke Point in the east.
The scheme is due to start on site on 20th March 2023 and will last for up to two weeks on site, weather dependant.
