New Damen CSD650 ready for South America

Damen crews are currently preparing a new cutter suction dredger 𝗖𝗦𝗗𝟲𝟱𝟬 for transport.

At the moment, disassembly (process of separating a machine or structure into its different parts) of the new dredger is underway at the 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 yard.

According to the Dutch shipbuilder, the CSD650 is almost ready for its journey to South America.

The heavy-duty side wire winches transfer the continuous 700 kilowatts cutter power effectively to the soil.

The 70 metre long dredger has an impressive swing width of 71 metres at its max dredging depth of -25 metres and a swing angle of twice 40⁰.
