Gahdhoo Harbor development moves ahead

The Gahdhoo Harbor Development Project is moving forward according to schedule, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) announced today.

First shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall construction has been delivered to the site.

Also, harbor bridge column concrete works are currently ongoing.

Scope of works will include:

• dredging and excavation operations of 23,017cbm,

• construction of a 232m breakwater,

• a 35m revetment,

• a 320m quay wall,

• construction of a 320m Scouring Apron,

• a bridge, installation of 1600sqm harbor pavement and harbor lights.

The value of the project is MVR 42.6 million.
