Works on Kandu Oiy Giri Harbor development move forward

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has just released the latest update on the K. Kandu Oiy Giri Harbor development project.

According to MTCC, the work is well underway, with overall 40% project progress.

“We have completed construction of breakwater,” the company said.

Scope of works will include:

• harbor dredging operations of 10,000cbm,

• channel dredging operations of 10,000cbm,

• construction of a 125m quay wall,

• a 265m breakwater,

• a 63m revetment,

installation of harbor pavement, harbor lights and navigational lights.

The value of the project is MVR 36.13 million ($2.3 million).
