Damen introduces compact dredging equipment at Bauma

Damen will present the DOP150 – the smallest submersible dredge pump of the series – at the Bauma event in Germany next week.

Commenting the news, Mr Harrold van Vliet, sales representative at Damen, explains: “The compact dedicated slurry pump has been designed for mounting on an excavator.”

“This switch from dry earthmoving to ‘wet’ earthmoving jobs – that is by pumping a sand-water mixture – is quite straightforward as the excavator can handle the DOP dredge pump perfectly.”

“Moreover, the excavators hydraulics can power the pump.”

The DOP Submersible dredge pump is directly powered by a hydraulic motor. This results in a compact design and trouble free operation.

Also, a wide array of easily exchangeable suction heads is available. This tailors the DOP for any specific dredging job at hand, said Damen.
