The World Organization of Dredging Associations, the Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and HeroX have announced that they will present next update on the WODA working group on reservoir dredging and five emerging technologies for reservoir sediment removal.

The five emerging technologies are Phase 1 winners of Reclamation and USACE’s “Guardians of the Reservoir Challenge.”

Each of these teams has received $75,000 in funding to advance their technology in the hopes of participating in a large-scale demonstration of their system in Phase 3 of the challenge.

In total, the Guardians of the Reservoir Challenge will award up to $550,000 in prizes across these five teams.

The next webinar on the Guardians of the Reservoir Challenge and the teams involved will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
