“We’re a quarter of the way through the dredging project of the Gold Coast Seaway, North and South Channels to remove shoaling and restore target depth,” said Gold Coast Waterways Authority.

“Our contractors have moved over 75,000 m3 of dredge material from the South Channel and placed it seaward of Narrowneck beach to aid beach protection.”

South Channel dredging is due to be finished next week and then the dredgers will move to the North Channel.
