Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has just released this beautiful photo from the Sh. Feydhoo Harbour project site in Shaviyani Atoll.
According to MTCC, work on the design and construction of the Sh. Feydhoo Harbour continues, with overall 28% of the project completed so far.
New harbor basin dredging works for the project are also ongoing at the moment.
The value of the Sh. Feydhoo Harbor project is MVR 33.1 million ($2.1 million). The main components of the project include dredging and excavation operations in the amount of 27,500 cubic meters.
The scheme also calls for the construction of a 378m breakwater along with a 90m revetment. Additionally, MTCC will construct a 276m quay-wall at the harbor.
The last component of the project is installation of 1,380sqm of paved area, with streetlights and navigation lights.
The completion of the project is expected sometimes next year.
