Tree removal, shoreline stabilization, fiber roll, seeding and vegetated geogrid wall on the banks as well as other miscellaneous sitework to complete the project will also be included.

If a bid is accepted, a Labor & Material Payment Bond, payable to the Naperville Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction.

Phase 1 construction will focus on the pond and work on the east shore.

Sediment that has built up in the bottom of the pond will be removed for the health of the stormwater facility.

The shoreline slopes will be stabilized and planted with native vegetation to prevent erosion and filter out fertilizers and pesticides to prevent them from entering the pond.

“It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded in May,” the District said.
