FSUE “Rosmorport” recently started dredging operations in the water area of pier No. 40A of the KSK grain terminal in the seaport of Novorossiysk.

The dredging work is being conducted within the framework of the “Reconstruction of the grain terminal with a cargo turnover of 2.5 million tons per year with an increase in capacity of up to 4 million tons per year”.

The project calls for dredging of 218 thousand cubic meters of soil from an area of more than 56.9 thousand square meters, bringing the water depth to minus 17.5m.

In order to implement the project, a contract was signed between FSUE “Rosmorport” and JSC “KSK Grain Terminal”. So far, dredging in the amount of 21 thousand cubic meters has been completed under this contract.

The completion of dredging will create conditions for safe maneuvering and anchoring at berth No. 40A for vessels whose deadweight exceeds 101 thousand tons, which will allow the increase of cargo turnover in the seaport of Novorossiysk.
