2021 WEDA Gulf Coast Chapter Meeting

The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Western Dredging Association (WEDA) will hold heir annual meeting from November 17-19, 2021 at the Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel and Spa in Mobile, AL.

According to WEDA, they are currently developing the final schedule and will send out additional information in the coming weeks.

The meeting will provide a forum for exchanging information of interest to the dredging industry and its associates.

Representatives from all areas of the industry, including regulatory, resource agencies, contracting, and manufacturing, will attend to discuss dredging economics, benefits, technologies, and current issues.

Tentative agenda:

• Wednesday (11/17/21) afternoon will start the program with a golf outing, followed by an Ice Breaker from 6-9 PM;
• Thursday (11/18/21) agenda will consist of technical presentations and a luncheon program that will allow members to meet with USACE district representatives on a one-on-one basis;
• Friday (11/19/21) will continue with a half-day of technical presentations and conclude with chapter business at about noon. This year will include voting in new officers and a new member of the chapter board. Additional details will be sent out soon.

The Gulf Coast Chapter Board concluded that first call for abstracts will be sent out around the 3rd week of April.
