According to the Queen’s Harbour Master Portsmouth, the surveying and maintenance dredging of the Portsmouth Harbour and its approach channels will be conducted from 22 to 30 March 2021.

For the works, the contractor will use the “plough” vessel “FASTNET SOUND” (LOA 27m) and trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) “WATERWAY” (LOA 97.7m) with the support vessel “SHORELINE” carrying out survey operations.

“All vessels will display the appropriate signals when conducting survey and dredging operations,” the Harbour Master said. “Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass at slow speed while dredging operations are being conducted.”

The Harbour Master concluded that during the works, all dredging and surveying craft will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch 11.
