Neumann Contractors has completed another annual dredging campaign in Tallebudgera Creek, Gold Coast, Australia.
Neumann has undertaken the dredging works in Tallebudgera Creek for the past nine years now.
Each year around 20-40,000m³ of clean sand is being dredged from the creek to replenish the sand on Burleigh Beach.
During the 2020 campaign, Neumann dredged over 30,000 m³ of clean sand to replace sand eroded from Burleigh Heads’.
The sand is pumped overland and released in the southern end of Burleigh Beach, near the Burleigh Beach Pavilion and spread up to 350m northwards.
These works are an integral part of the City of Gold Coast’s program to maintain and replenish the sand on Gold Coast beaches.
