Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has won a contract to upgrade R. Angolhitheem Harbor.
The estimated value of the project is $2.8 million. Also, this development scheme will be completed within one year, MTCC reports.

Furthermore, the agreement for the Angolhitheem Harbor development program was signed yesterday.
However, Angolhitheemu – one of the islands in Raa Atoll with population of 500 people – is one of the islands in which the early settlers of Maldives lived.
Equally important, the island is located 187.44 km north of the country’s capital, Malé. In fact, this island is a medium-sized island, with a total area of 34 ha (84 acres).
